Volleyball defeats Oneonta 3-1

Ashville has had Oneonta's number recently with a win in football, and now a season sweep in Volleyball. The Bulldogs defeated The Redskins Thursday night by a score of three sets to one and move to 3-0 in area play. Ashville is now in first place in Region 5, and in the drivers seat to host the area tournament.

"Defeating Oneonta was huge," head coach Marra Mattison said after the game. "Being able to beat them twice in area is awesome. I'm just very proud of the girls; they are tired and have been working really hard. For them to come out and play like they did was huge for our program."

The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday, September 26. Both the JV and Varsity play at Ragland with the first game set to start at 4:00.
