Lady Dogs Defeat Leeds & Pinson Valley

Down go the Green Wave and the Indians as the Ashville Bulldogs roll on to make their regular season, overall record 10-3. The Lady Bulldogs are 2-0 in their area after defeating the Green Wave, capping off their victory over an area opponent with another victory over 6A Pinson Valley.

"The girls really proved they have a lot of heart to us tonight! They overcame adversity to bring home the wins, and I am proud with how hard they fought," noted Ashville Volleyball head coach, Mara Mattison. "They proved to us that they have heart and what it takes to overcome adversity to win."

The junior varsity squad also gained another "W," defeating the Green Wave as well. Assistant coaches Denise Mattison and Kristen O'Barr were pleased with both the JV and Varsity performance. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Springville next week to take on the Tigers and the St. Clair County Saints in a county matchup, hopefully foreshadowing a stellar performance in the county tournament in October.
